Shorthanded Bedford Gets Edges by Hurricanes 2-0

Posted by Dale Dubois on Oct 26 2004 at 05:00PM PDT
DEA Bedford Masters playing short handed got edged out by the Hurricanes in Wenham this past Sunday. It was a shame that Bedford could not bring a full squad, for they would have surely won this match. Starting the game with nine and later getting their 10th player half way through the first half, Bedford played to a 0-0 tie for 83 minutes. Exhaustion took over and the Hurricanes scored on a cheesey deflection off a DEA defender. The Hurricanes would add one with 2 minutes to play to end the game at 2-0. DEA has to make a better effort to show up to play if they want to advance out of this division. Next game is at home against the Westford squad on Halloween at 9 AM. It will be a Bedford doubleheader as the over 30 team, the Bedford Pacers, will play North Andover following this match.
