Westford Drops DEA Hard -- 5-1

Posted by Dale Dubois on Oct 16 2007 at 05:00PM PDT

In the worst performance witnessed in a long time, DEA was pulverized by Westford last Sunday morning, 5-1 in Westford.  Bedford just could not get anything going and really played bad.

The first half was reasonable as Westford scored a fluke goal from a corner kick that went directly into the sun.  The attempted clearing header rang off the cross bar and out to a Westford player who sank it in.  The half would end 1-0 and DEA was definately still in the game although their play was definately sub-par.

The second half saw DEA totally unravel as Westford netted 4 in a row.  Late in the second half Jeff Guild would hit a nice side netting shot from the left side to at least put Bedford on the board.

Bad game... moving on now....

A must win this week against Billerica, who somehow is sitting in first.  The big field of Legacy will prove to be a different result for this match, which is slated to kick off this coming Sunday at 10:30 AM...
