DEA Battles Billerica to a 0-0 Tie

Posted by Dale Dubois on Oct 23 2007 at 05:00PM PDT

DEA and Billerica had a gruelling battle this past Sunday and would both come away with a point for the 0-0 tie.  Once again the league failed to provide us with a referee for the match.  Jerold was kind enough to step in after his game completed and ended up doing a better job than any referee we have had so far.  Billerica and Bedford both had chances in the first half and rang the ball off the cross bar.  Other than that the DEA defense shut down the Billerica attackers.  Paul Cote had an excellent game at left back.  He played aggressive and continued to beat the Rover players to the ball.  Great effort Mr. Cote.  Johnnie Morin also had a great game in the DEA net for the entire game.  John was forced to stuff a Billerica striker 1 on 1 in the second half. Great Job from the veteran keeper.

Not much more to say.  DEA strikers have not been their usual scoring machines this season.   Hopefully that will change as DEA still has a chance at the title.

Next Sunday, DEA travels down to West Roxbury to take on the Irish Village.  DEA got the best of the Irish in their first meeting and surprisingly the Village is sitting at the bottom of the division.  Game time is 10:00 AM and it takes about 1hour and 15 minutes to get there.

LETS SHOW UP TO KICK SOME A$$ !!!
