Sportsmans Dinner- Park Hotel 29/01/2005 The Club will be in its 75th year in 2005 and we are delighted to announce that we have finalised our line up of speakers for the evening as follows: MC- Jamie Pert : Jamie is Managing Director of local building firm WW Pert Construction Ltd and is a former player of the club. He is a regular speaker at Burns Suppers and his local knowledge and football background will be an added bonus. Jamie gives a lot of his spare time to the Scottish Society for Autism and we will allow him to spend a little time on this subject and we will be making a donation to his charity. Frank Robb: Versatility and originality are the hallmarks of Frank Robb’s unique blend of cross-over music and ad lib humour.His supreme talents as a musician and songwriter combine with a razor sharp wit and uncanny ability to improvise on guitar, harmonica and vocals. Audiences are ensured an evening that is tailor made for each occasion.Described as the most original and truly different act in Scotland just now Frank Macavennie: The ex Scotland, West ham and Celtic striker is sure to go down a treat and create a lot of interest. Franks colourful lifestyle has always been recorded by the tabloid press and Frank will basically tell his life story. We have been assured by another Junior Club that he will be entertaining and will live up to his name. Jim Downie: local Oil industry worker Jim has played at Amateur Level in the town and has done stints at a couple of previous Dinners locally. Jims Glaswegian tongue adds to his canny ability to tell jokes. The Dinner is a complete sell out
