Posted by Jose Jimenez on Dec 07 2008 at 04:00PM PST

Flanagan Falcons Baseball Head Coach Ray Evans and Assistant Coach Eric Cruz recently attended the National High School Baseball Coaches Association (BCA) National Convention in Chicago, IL, December 4-7, 2008.  The BCA was officially formed in July 1991, to provide services and recognition for baseball coaches and to help promote and represent high school baseball across the country. The current membership has coaches from every state sponsoring high school baseball.

This event takes place annually, during the weekend after Thanksgiving, and draws coaches, speakers and exhibitors from all over the country, across all levels of baseball.  Coach Evans and Coach Cruz were invited to speak at this year’s convention, and led sessions titled “A Week in the Life of a Falcons Pitcher” and “Infield Play and Offensive Plan.”

During the Awards and Hall of Fame Dinner on Saturday evening, Coach Evans was recognized by the BCA for two major Head Coaching Milestones, 300 Wins and 20 Years Coaching.  Congratulations to Coach Evans for these tremendous accomplishments!
