The Baby Falcons continue their winning ways with an impressive 12-1, in 5 innings, victory over the McArthur Mustangs. The Falcons have outscored their opponents 38-2 over this 3 game stretch.
Freshman LHP, Adam Murray, got the victory on the mound (4 IP, 5 H, 4 K, 0 BB, 0 ER). Murray was helped in the first inning with an unassisted DP by 3rd baseman, Danny Oliveri. The lone run scored by McArthur was unearned. Freshman RHP, Tyler Neville, threw the 5th inning to close the game out.
Offensively, the Falcons were led by Sophomore, Carlos Lopez. Lopez (2-2, 2 2B, 4 RBI, 1 BB) was part of a 5 run first inning that produced 3 doubles. The other offensive highlight went to Rafael Betances, with a 2 run, pinch hit, single to put the game out of reach.
The JV Falcons’ next game is a double-header, at home, vs St. Thomas Aquinas on Sat. March 6. First game starts at 10:00 A.M.
