Announcement
It was the tale of 2 games. In game 1, the Baby Falcons could do no wrong. RHP, Jose Mesa Jr. (2-0) threw 4 innings and allowed only 1 run, off of 2 hits. Carlos Lopez (1 IP, 0 H, 2 K, 1 BB) threw for the first time this season, coming back from an injured throwing arm. The offense was led by RF, Adrian Garces (2-2, 2 R, 1 RBI, 1 BB), Casey Torres (2-2, 1 R, 1 RBI) and CF, Christian Nelson (2-2, 1 R, 1 RBI). Defensively, the JV squad was solid and error free. The game ended in the bottom half of the 5th inning because of time. Final score: Falcons 7, Bobcats 1.
Game 2 was a different story. The Bobcats would jump out to a 5-0 lead, due to Falcon errors. In all, the Baby Falcons would commit 7 errors in the game. The final score was 7-3, but only 3 of the runs were earned. On offense, the hitters that had been red hot, cooled down. Offensive contributors were Adrian Garces (2-3, 1 R), Danny Oliveri (2-3), A.J. Munoz (2-3) and Jadan Garcia (2-4, 1 R). The West Broward pitchers did their job in keeping the Falcons hitters from sparking any sort of rally.
The Baby Falcons (6-2) will look to get back to their winning ways on Wednesday, March 17, @ Taravella. Game time is 6:30 P.M.
