Posted by Ray Evans on Mar 21 2013 at 05:00PM PDT

The Falcons took care of business last night beating the Western Wildcats 15-3 to go 7-0 in the district. The offense was on a roll getting 15 runs on 14 hits with 4 extra base hits, 2 of them coming by way of the long ball. Ryan Dodge had an outstanding night ending just a triple shy of the cycle. Dodge went 3-3 with 6 RBI's, including a single, a double and a grand slam homerun in the top of the 3rd to put the game out of reach at 12-1. Andres Visbal got in on the fun as well going 2-3 with 2 RBI's and 3 runs scored. He got the Falcons on the board with a solo shot to deep right field in the 1st inning to make it a 1-0 game. Andres Rios had a good night as well going 3-3 with 3 RBI's and 2 runs scored. Oscar Rodriguez also had a multi hit night going 2-3 with a walk and a run scored.

The pitchers did their thing by shutting down the Wildcats offense. Alex Sarmiento got the start and went 3 innings giving up 1 unearned run on 3 hits while striking out 3 and walking 2. Chris Rodriguez threw the 4th and 5th innings giving up 2 earned runs on 2 hits, striking out 3 and walking 1.

The Falcons (10-2, 7-0) will take to the road during spring break next week. They will travel to Orlando to take on Timber Creek, Spruce Creek and Palm Beach Central at Seminole State College.
