Flanagan lost back to back games for the 2nd time this season after a 5-2 set back at the hands of District 11-6A, Stoneman-Douglas(8-4) on saturday. The Falcons(6-5) took an early lead 1-0 when Junior DH Justin Frias hit his 3rd home run of the season in the 2nd inning.  Douglas would come back to score 5 runs in the bottom of the 3rd inning which was more then enough for Eagles starter Stephen Colangelo. Junior leftfielder Zach Jackson doubled and scored the other Falcons run on a double steal in the top of the 5th inning. Senior Josh Gonzaga(1-2) took the loss allowing the 5 runs on 4 hits. Senior Rudy Miret pitched great in relief going 3 2/3 innings without allowing a run and just 3 hits.

The Falcons will look to get back on track Monday when they face Miramar at home in a District 12 matchup before a showdown with another District 11 foe Taravella on Wednesday night at home. The Trojans are the only undefeated team left in Broward county at 11-0.
