Tournament Rules
(a complete list will be at each scorer's table)
1. Games for grades 4-6 will be 14 minute halves, stop on everything; for grades 7-12 it will be 16 minutes.
2. The home team is the team on the left. They will wear light colored uniform, sit on bench to right and provide game ball.
3. Halftime is 3 minutes. Overtime is 2 minutes, second overtime is sudden death.
4. Each team has 3 full time outs for game, with an additional timeout if overtime.
5. There are 2 foul shots for the 10th foul of a half. There are no 1-and-1s. A player fouls out on the 6th foul.
6. All rules are 2018 Women's NCAA rules (foul shots on release, above the block on free throws, coaches an call timeout etc.) unless modified by these rules.
7. There is 10-second backcourt since not using shot clock. There is also 5-second violation on held ball and dribble.
8. 'Mercy' Rule: In the second half, if a team holds a 25 point lead the clock will run except for timeouts (even if lead then goes below 25).

6. Sportsmanship is a mainstay of our tournaments. The Tournament Director reseves the right to eject any individual not behaving in an orderly fashion and penalize the team involved if an egregious act.
