Buckeye Youth Football and Cheer Families,
Please join us for our annual Reverse Raffle fundraiser Saturday, October 5th at the Medina VFW! Our registration costs cover only our yearly operating expenses. All field improvements such as our bleachers, equipment shed, blocking sled and storage container have been provided by our fundraisers and the great support by our community.

Tickets for the fundraiser will be available ONLINE per the link below and after practices typically Tuesdays and Thursdays at the equipment shed! Paper tickets per online orders will be delivered prior to the event. Each ticket includes dinner, drinks and your raffle entry for the $1000 grand prize! We had huge success last season with a record number of side boards and raffle prizes. The event will sell out at capacity weeks early so please get your tickets soon!

Family sponsorships are appreciated and available regardless of event attendance. These can also be submitted ONLINE or the attached sponsorship form can also be submitted at practices. To coordinate another event ticket or donation pickup please contact fundraising@buckeyeyouthfootball.com.

8/25 LOCATION UPDATE FROM YOUTH FIELDS TO HIGH SCHOOL SOCCER STADIUM ENTRANCE OVERHANG:

Please see the attached Football picture day schedule for Thursday, August 29th. Cheerleading pictures will be scheduled at a later date. All players and coaches shall wear full game day uniforms for pictures and will practice in them that day. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your scheduled time. Pictures may be ordered online or there will be paper forms available on site.

Registration for the 2024 season of Buckeye Youth Football and Cheer is now OPEN for Grades K to 6th! Complete season details and registration forms can be found in the Documents section of our website www.buckeyeyouthfootball.com.

Find us at Buckeye Day at the Elementary School on Wednesday, May 8th 5-9pm for the earliest full registration opportunity and to speak to our Board Members for information. Sign up for the Boys and Girls Flag Youth Football Camps May 30-31 will also be available at Buckeye Day!

Deadline: June 29th. Any registration received beyond the deadline may be placed on a waiting list.

Mail-In: Registration by mail will also be accepted (BYFA, PO Box 570, Valley City, OH 44280). Participants must still attend an in-person date to size personalized football jerseys and flag football pants!

Please see the below two great Buckeye Youth Football camp opportunities! Forms can be found in the Documents section of this website.

Firstly, the Buckeye High School Football program is hosting their annual Youth Football camp May 30 and 31, 9-11:30am. Campers will be coached by current High School Coaches and Players with focus on fundamentals development. Registration cost of $50 includes a Buckeye Football t-shirt for each camper. Please direct all questions, registration forms and payment to Coach Greg Dennison gdennison@buckeyeschools.org.

New for this season is a FREE Girls Flag Football camp! To promote the new Lake Erie Youth Football League (LEYFL) Girls Flag division, Buckeye Youth Football is extremely excited to host our Girls! Date, time and location are the same as the above HS Boys Youth camp though the Girls will have their own field for individually paced instruction. Registration for the FREE camp can be submitted online per the link in the attached form or turned in along with any Boys camp forms.

Lastly, find BYFA at Buckeye Day May 8th at the Elementary School where forms for both camps can be submitted specially.

Offseason planning is underway with our 2024 Board elections held at the January meeting.

2024 BYFA Board:

The next BYFA board meetings will be at the following dates, 7pm at the Liverpool Community Center (6801 School St, Valley City, OH); February 18th, March 10th, April 21st, May 19th and June 30th. Please plan to join as we prepare for another great season.

2024 registration for K to 6th grade football and cheer will be open May 1st to June 29th. Please watch our Facebook page or www.buckeyeyouthfootball.com for details and exact in person registration dates. Look for us at the Elementary School Buckeye Day May 8th!

Early acclimation practices for grades 3-6 and Flag camps for grades K-2 start the week of July 22. Regular practices for all start July 29. Regular season games held Saturdays Aug 24 to Oct 5. Playoffs Oct 12-19-26.

BYFA and the Lake Erie Youth Football are also considering expanding with GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL divisions for grades 1-6! Please reach out per the information below to express interest or with questions.
