Healy Oil 13 - Floral Arts 10

Healy took advantage of the long ball and some sketchy Floral Arts defense to forge a 13-10 victory. Healy struck four home runs, including two-run shots in the fifth and sixth innings when they took control of the game. A groundout ended a Floral rally with the bases loaded in the 7th. Simon Tripp, Tom Semeter, and Jonathan Morgan homered for Floral Arts.

Mario’s Restaurant 16 - Shortcut 12

Shortcut lost to Mario's Restaurant, 16-12, and now has a 3-3 record this season. Shortcut hit eight homers in the loss, but committed a couple of key errors in the sixth inning that allowed Mario’s to score seven runs and break the game open. Dave Sullivan and Mike Gross each had two homers for Short Cut.

Mustangs 13 - Pro Sport Therapy 12

Mustangs were one out away from their first loss of the season when Paul Selfrige hit a two-run walk off homer in the bottom of the 8th inning to give the Mustangs a hard-fought 13-12 victory over Pro Sports Therapy. It was Selfrige's second home run of the game to go along with three RBI. Mustang Don Cusano also chipped in with two home run blasts and three RBI of his own. Jay Dolan and Mike Kennedy (3-3, home run, 2 RBI, 2 runs) had three hits apiece. Mustang hurler Paul Ligouri won his fourth straight decision on the mound. He was backed by excellent defense from third baseman Mike Kennedy and outfielder Jim Ward. Jerry Cressman’s two home runs and 5 RBI led Pro Sports Therapy. Also having big nights for PST were Jeff Morse with three hits, Steve Nolan with four hits, and a home run from Dave Weaver.

Drew Farms 18, Willis Tent 11

A 10 run first inning, featuring grand slams by Todd Shepherd and Scott Cole highlighted a strong hitting performance for Drew Farms in their defeat of Willis Tent. Defense was solid at all positions and each player recorded at least one hit.

Floral Arts 14 - Mario’s Restaurant 13

Mario’s and Floral Arts played their second close game in a week, with Floral Arts prevailing by one run. Keith Reynolds hit a two run homer and knocked in four RBI for Mario’s. Jim DeMarco and Tony DeAntonis added solo shots and Jon Russo hit a pair of doubles and scored two runs in the loss. Floral Arts’ shortstop Jim Peloquin hit two home runs and Simon Tripp, Tom Semeter and Geoff Pavao each hit one home run. Billy Luppold chipped in two hits.

Pro Sport Therapy 26 - Willis Tent 13

Pro Sports Therapy had their biggest offensive night of the year to earn a walk off run rule victory in the top of the seveneth. PST got contributions up and down the lineup, beginning with a Dave Chirokas grand slam in the first. Steve Nolan had another big night, going 4-5 with two home runs and 7 RBI. Rookie Bill Cullen also broke through with his first home run and another rocket off the fence for a double as part of his four hit, four RBI night. Jerry Cressman hit the walk off home run for his 3 RBI. Also chipping in with big nights were John Bodi, who went 5-for-6, and Jeff Morse, Matt Dolan, and Larry Zupkosky with three hits each.

Drew Farms 13 - Healy Oil 8

Drew Farms continued playing strong defense to help secure a 13-8 win over Healy Oil. Drew Farms scored in every inning. A key three-run home run late in the game by Tom Menicci helped put a little distance in the score. Mark McAleese continues to hit the ball well and often as Drew Farms returned to a .500 record.

Mario’s Restaurant 17 - Pro Sports Therapy 12

Mario’s Restaurant won its second game of the week and enjoyed their biggest run output to date, hitting five home runs and scoring at least a run in every inning. Keith Reynolds continued his hot streak with two home runs, Thanh Nguyen hit two homers and knocked in four, and Tony DeAntonis added a solo shot. Murph McKeon was 3-for-3 with three doubles and three runs scored. Kieran Murray and Raghu Mantena both went 3-for-3. Nguyen was tough on the mound again, surviving a bad hop groundball to the head. Nguyen remained in the game and did not require any Pro Sports Therapy. Pro Sports Therapy was led by Tom Rose’s two home run , four RBI outburst.
