Details
Description: | The Bears look to avenge last year's 6-0 loss at Trenton Waterfront Park. The Chargers finally captured the Commander's Cup for the first time since its' inception in 2005. Will Beard pitched a complete game 1-hitter in the one sided affair. This will be the 1st Commander Cup Game for Spotswood played without Beard, Michael Hohman, or John Michael Berner. They are the only 3 players to have played in all 3 games. Past Results:
This past winter, the trophy was given its' official name in honor of past Commander Bill Thompson, who served our country during World War II. Bill was a tremendous supporter of both East Brunswick and Spotswood High Schools', and most of all his Milltown Post 25 boys. He was Baseball Chairman for our Post for the past decade. Bill passed away in 2006 and his pall bearers were members of the 2005 Post 25 team who made it to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Final Game. Bill never missed a game! We all miss you Billy! |
