We have a private Facebook Page “Mayfair Park Cheerleaders” that an administrator can add you to.
It is for parents to have quick access to information about schedule changes, practice day and times and it is a safe place to upload pictures from the season.
If you have a child participating, please ask to be added and once you have registered through the park, you will be added.
If you have family members (grandparents, child care providers, etc.) to add, please send a request so that I can know they “should” be on the page.
If you no longer participate or no longer wish to be part of the page, you will need to remove yourself.

Welcome to Mayfair Cheerleading! GO PANTHERS!

Different from year’s past, Cheerleading Registration will open with “Spring” sports!
We will leave Registration open through June 30th since that is when uniforms, etc. will need to be ordered!
The Mayfair cheerleading program is open to girls and boys entering Kindergarten in the Fall of 2017 through 6th grade. Teams will be formed based on the number of athletes registered in each age category.

Also, if you have a child who would like to cheer, but ALSO play a Spring sport like t-ball or softball, that is fine!
Please feel free to register for both since we will only be practicing once a week until closer to Football Season.

Huntsville International League Registration: $100.00

Your Mayfair Registration includes:
- a season cheer t-shirt
- pom pons rental for the season
- end of season participation token

Required purchases:
-Team Uniform (price TBD) (All ages will wear the same uniform TBD)
-all white cheer/tennis shoes (preferably smooth bottom cheer shoes) and white socks
-white turtleneck or white long sleeve cheer half top (available when uniform is ordered)
-white leggings
Optional purchases:
-Little Panther Bag
-Little Panther zip up sweatshirt
-practice skort
-practice top

Our hopes are to have 3 age divisions (subject to change depending on registration and multiple teams within age groups are possible):
Team Red: Kindergarten and First Graders (Cheering for U6 Flag Football & U8 Football)
Team White: Second and Third Graders (Cheering for U8 & U10 Football)
Team Blue: Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Graders (Cheering for U10 & U12 Football)
In the event, there are not enough athletes to make separate squads by grade level, squads will be divided equally.

When you register, PLEASE indicate anyone you would like to cheer with on the same squad.
Siblings who would like to cheer together: The older child will cheer DOWN with the younger child.
Friend requests of different grade levels will be made the same way as siblings ONLY if there are enough athletes to fill their correct age squad.
We will do our best to accommodate all requests, however, they can’t be guaranteed.

TIMELINE:
JUNE-JULY
Registration will close June 30th. Practices will begin once a week in either June or July 2017 at The Matrix Gym (Day and Time to TBD). Very laid back, all age groups together to start learning material and getting to know one another.

LATE JULY-AUGUST
Practices will continue, but will most likely be divided by age group/squad.
Huntsville High School hosts their “Little Panther Cheer Clinic” for 3 days from 9am-12pm in either July or August at The Matrix Gym. This is their biggest fundraiser of the year and every Mayfair cheerleader is invited to attend! Details to follow!

SEPTEMBER- FIRST WEEK OF NOVEMBER
Practices will stop and Football season begins. (Last year, each squad cheered 8 games)
Little Panther Cheerleaders, along with anyone who attended the Summer camp, will have the opportunity to cheer with the Huntsville High School cheerleaders until half time of one of their football games at Milton Frank.

Registration for spring sports will begin online February 18th and will run through March 4th. In-person sign ups will be Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., February 18th, 25th, and March 4th. If you are registering in person, you must provide a birth certificate! In person registrations will be above the concession stand.
