Hello Lady Titan LAX Family.

Officially, our Spring 2018 season starts in one weeks from Monday!!! Remember to take care of all the housekeeping items before 26 FEB comes around. It will be here before you know it, and once we start on 26 FEB, there will be no slowing down until Mid-May. Our schedule is about 90% complete. Currently, our first game looks to be against the defending champions (St. Teresa’s Academy) at STA on 28 March. Because their field does not lights, we can expect Varsity to start at around 4:30pm and JV at around 5:45pm. Once confirmed, I’ll let everyone know.

Here’s what we have going on for the week:
Tuesday 20 FEB – Final indoor session of the winter at 8pm at Lakeland.

Be on the lookout for the annual mandatory parent’s meeting. I am shooting for a date on the week of 5 MARCH with a 6pm start. Once I have that date & place confirmed, I’ll let everyone know. Because we discuss the upcoming season’s expectations from the coaching staff for both players and parents, i really need at least one parent for every player present at this meeting. Parents only….no players.

Optional Concussion Baseline Testing has been scheduled for 20 FEB right after school in Mrs. Adams room. The cost is $5.75 per player. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Here are the last of the housekeeping items that we are NOT 100% complete on:

- Every player MUST have a current physical on file with the school sports office dated on or after 1 FEB 2017. I have heard that the office will stop accepting paper copies of sports physicals on 1 FEB, and all physicals will have to be scanned and uploaded on the MSHSAA PRIViT site. (https://lswtitans-mo.e-ppe.com/index.jspa). Please take care of this ASAP if you need to get a physical. Players will not be allowed on the practice field on 26 FEB unless a valid physical is on file.

- Make any payments still owed to the club to Mr. Rasdall.

- Money for the fundraiser coupon books is DUE BY 5pm on 26 FEB. If a player still owes money by 5pm on 26 FEB, she will not be allowed to participate in outdoor practices until payment has been turned in. Only 8 more days left to get this taken care of.

- The KC Metro Girl’s League requires that every player registers on the KC Metro League website. The league uses this to keep track of every player in the league for US Lacrosse. This has nothing to do with TeamPages. For new players, you’ll have to setup a new profile with an email address and password. Please let me know if you need anything. Go to www.kcgirlslax.com, click the big green “Register Now” button, and register for the LSW team. As of this morning, we have 24 of 36 players registered. We are almost there!

On 4 MARCH, we have committed to helping with on-field training of new officials. We will be participating in a full-field scrimmage with the Olathe Ravens from 3pm to 4pm at the Blue Valley NW football stadium (13260 Switzer Rd, Overland Park, KS 66213) All players are welcome to participate….we will wear our practice pinneys as our uniform.

On Monday 26 FEB, outdoor practices start. We will practice Mon-Thurs from 5pm to 7pm (or dark, whichever comes first).
