PLEASE READ YOUR RULE BOOKS! Game scores have NOTHING to do with playoff seeding! EVERY COACH needs to adhere to the 25 point rule and be good sportsmen in not running up the score! THE RULES FOR SEEDING TEAMS FOR THE PLAYOFFS ARE SPELLED OUT IN THE CCYFL RULE BOOKS AND HAVE NEVER, ABSOLUTELY NEVER BEEN CONTINGENT UPON HOW MANY POINTS A TEAM SCORES DURING A GAME. The points a TEAM recieves for seeding purposes is derived from HOW MANY GAMES A PARTICULAR TEAM WERE VICTORIOUS IN. IE: IF TEAM A PLAYED 4 TEAMS, AND THOSE TEAMS WON 4 GAMES EACH, THE POINTS DERIVED FOR PLAYOFF PURPOSES WOULD BE 16 POINTS. This point structure is used to determine the STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE, and is ONLY used if teams are tied on overall record, then head to head games played. THE FOLLOWING IS THE WAY TEAMS ARE SEEDED AND LEAGUE CHAMPIONS DETERMINED: Over-all record THEN IF STILL TIED: head to head games played (ie if they played who was victorious) THEN IF STILL TIED, the above strength of schedule point structure is used; THEN IF STILL TIED, a coin toss is used to determine the higher seed.
