2006 OPENING DAY

Posted by Gilbert Esparza at Feb 6, 2006 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

"OPENING DAY 2006"
TABB was once again blessed with great weather for our Opening Day Celebration.  Thank you to all our families and friends that made this event one of of the best Opening Days ever.  Laura Savitz kicked the day off with a beautiful version of our National Anthem and our guest of honor, Leigh McArthur threw out the first pitch of the 2006 season.  Our very own DJ Dewey kept the atmosphere festive playing all of your favorite songs while OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE cooked up a feast for all to enjoy.  By the number of smiling faces, I'd have to say the whole day was a huge success.  Thanks again for being part of the TABB Family.

2006 Winter Baseball Camp...

Posted by Gilbert Esparza at Dec 31, 2005 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

3rd Annual TABB Winter Baseball Camp for 2006 was a huge success!
Thank you to everyone that attended our camp this year.  We saw over 200 kids come through over the 4 days of camp from ages 4-12.  We worked on base running and positions for the little guys all the way up to rundowns and hitting for power with the big dogs.  There was no shortage of smiles or laughs, that's for sure.  For some of you, it was your first experience here at TABB and we hope it was an enjoyable one with many more memories to come.  Hope you are excited and looking forward to the 2006 season!
A special thank you also to all the volunteers who made this possible.  From working the snackbar, setting up fields, leading a team, or cleaning up.  Most of you had to take time off of work to help out.  Your dedication to our TABB kids is always greatly appreciated.  Great times like these could never be possible without you, the TABB family.

Moms and Dads, please don't forget about our free annual Winter Baseball Day Camps coming up during the Winter School Break.  Your child must be registered for the 2007 season.  We go over basic fundamentals with personalized instruction during the 2-day event.  Multiple work stations are set up with daily practice games to put into practice what the players learned that day.  You may stay and watch or drop-off and pick-up.  As a courtesy, please be on time for both.  Players need to report 1/2 hr. early on the first day to allow time for check-in.

Players need to be dressed appropriately:
Cleats
Baseball pants or sweats (No shorts)
T-shirt (No collared shirts)
Protective Cup (T-ball and Shetland excluded)
Baseball Hat

Players need to bring:
Glove
Bat (If they do not own one, bats will be provided)
Batting Helmet (Again, if they do not own one, one will be provided)
A great attitude and a willingness to have fun.

Don't miss out on our 4th annual Winter Baseball Day Camp!

I would like to take this opportunity to explain the fee schedule approved by the TABB Board for the 2006 Season.  Registration fees have increased by $10.00, ($5.00 if you register before Dec. 15, 2005), per player and a new idea for collecting fees upfront has been adopted.  The fee comparison of 2005 vs. 2006 is outlined below:

Registration:

2005

2006

T-Ball / Shetland

75.00

125.00

Other Divisions

125.00

175.00

Fundraising:

Auction Basket

10.00

Included

Raffle Tickets

20.00

Included

Team Yearbook Ads

10.00

Included

For example, if your child played in Mustang last year, registration fees ($125.00) plus fundraising fees ($40.00) totaled $165.00.  This year, registration fees will be $175.00, all upfront, rather than requesting fees throughout the season.  There will be no mandatory fundraising fees collected this year.  The $10.00 fee increase can be reduced by taking advantage of the $5.00 early bird discount if you register before December 15.  This reduces the overall increase to only $5.00.  We hope this helps clarify the 2006 fee schedule and we look forward to seeing you in the Spring.

 Sincerely,

The TABB 2006 Board
