Team Webmasters: Please read.

Posted by Gilbert Esparza at Apr 28, 2007 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Everyone has done a great job building your team web sites this year.  Some of you have gotten really creative with logos, game pictures, and even slide shows.  This is just a reminder that all files and graphics over 300k will be automatically removed from our web site periodically.  Please shrink those files down for the "Web" before posting because we only have 250mb available for the whole league to share.
Thanks for your help.

Urgent: TABB Parent Reminders

Posted by Gilbert Esparza at Apr 19, 2007 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
TABB Parents A couple of important things to go over: Please check the TABB website the morning of game day when it has been or is raining. The official word will be posted about scheduled games usually around 8:00am. The league will do everything possible to get the games played so your patience is asked. In addition, TABB would like to be sure all families are following the parking plan distributed at Parent Night. Summary below: Playing on the Mustang or Bronco Field 1. The main parking lot near the snackbar is for Managers, Umpires, Concession Crew, Pony Officials or Handicapped placarded vehicles only. Please do not use this lot for any drop off or pickup of players. Player drop-off area is actually in the outfield parking lots. This parking plan is a condition of our lease so please stick to it. A sign will be posted at the beginning of the driveway. Parking in the main lot along the third base Bronco Fence is at your own risk and TABB will not be financially responsible for any vehicles that are damaged while parked there. 2. The lots behind the outfield fences are available for parking. The southernmost gate (near the big new house) is an entrance only gate. The middle gate can be used for entering and exiting the park. The 3rd gate (behind Bronco center field) is an exit. Again, this is extremely important to follow and parents should be aware of it ASAP. Lastly, the last teams of the day are responsible for "shutting" down the fields. This includes trash being taken to the main trash cans, putting all equipment away and locking all gates and doors. Parents, please be available to help. It's easy to be the first to leave and hope that someone else will take care of it. Thanks for all your help!

There has been some confusion on how the Divisional Standings are calculated for Pinto, Mustang and Bronco.  Whether to use a point system such as 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie and no points for a loss or overall winning percentage.  Although both systems can be used, our rules are very clear that we use "Winning Percentage."  Winning Percentage will be calculated using the following formula: (Wins + ties/2) / (Wins + ties + losses)
Below is an excerpt from our Rules Of Operations which explains tie breaking procedures as well.  Hope this helps.
This is taken from the Bronco Section but applies to Mustang and Pinto as well.  However, all teams make the playoffs for each division.
7.1.11
The six teams with the highest winning percentages at the conclusion of this phase will advance to the playoffs. These six teams will be seeded according to their relative winning percentages (i.e. highest winning percentage is seeded #1, second highest is seeded #2,etc.). In the event of a tie for any position from first to sixth, the following tiebreaker will apply:
1. H ighest winning percentage versus team(s) at the tie point. (head to head)
2. H ighest winning percentage versus team(s) above the tie point.
3. Coin flip.
