Well it finally got here, the District Championship. Bangor East was host to Hampden. What a game, perfectly pitched on both sides. East jumped out to an early 1-0 lead. Hampden tied it in the bottom of the fourth. East rebounded in the bottom of the fifth with two runs and a 3-1 lead. Hampen did not go away quietly, a two run home run in the top of sixth tied it at 3-3. East loaded the bases and a single to left wins it, Bangor East are District Champions, Good luck at STATES!
Tonight I venture seven miles down the road to Hampden where they hosted Hermon. Hermon jumped out to an early seven run lead. It looked to be a small upset in the making. But Hampden rally for eight runs over the last three innings to set up a rematch with Bangor East in the District Championship game.

Tonight I venture just across the river. Brewer hosted Hermon. Great game. Brewer jumped out to early 1-0 lead, Hermon then tied it, 1-1. Game went back and forth with Brewer tying it in the top of the fifth just to have Hermon get three runs in the bottom of the fifth and winng the game 6-3. Next stop Hampden, monday night. Another eight miles tonight. Total, 700 miles to date for districts alone.
Tonight I ventured 12 miles north to Old Town, who hosted Brewer. Great game! Brewer used timely hitting and Old Town flashed the leather when it had to. Great pitching on both sides. Brewer ends up winning 4-1. Good game to both teams.
