RECITAL TICKET RELEASE DAY

Recital tickets are available for purchase during normal studio hours or by phone by using your Visa or Mastercard. Please note that all seats are reserved and will be sold in a first come first served manner. To keep with the school’s fire code requirements, every member of the audience MUST purchase a ticket, including babies and children. Tickets will be sold for $15 in advance and $18 at the door. Handicapped seating is available at the recital venue. Please let us know prior to ordering tickets, if you need handicapped seating.TICKETS ARE NON REFUNDABLE OR EXCHANGEABLE 

DANCE BEARS

Any dance bears that are not picked up at the studio prior to the recital will be waiting outside the theatre and must be picked up prior to the show. Although it is customary to hand bouquets to a performer at the finale, we are asking for you to hand flowers to your dancer at the time of pick-up. This rule will be strictly enforced.

VOLUNTEER MOTHERS

A sign up sheet will be available in May for all volunteers. We encourage all volunteers to be signed up prior to June 1st so that we may include your name in our cast/crew list on our recital t-shirts and programs. Volunteers MUST stay with your class at all times. While your class is performing you may watch their dance from backstage. You will be responsible for chaperoning and occupying your class. We encourage you to bring crayons, coloring books, etc… PLEASE NO PAINTS OR MARKERS THAT WILL STAIN THE COSTUMES!!! Volunteer moms must arrive no later than 12pm for sign in. Only those who are volunteering may enter the dressing rooms, unless given authorization by the staff.  

 RECITAL T-SHIRTS

 Like in past years, recital t-shirts will be available for PRE-ORDER ONLY for $15. The recital t-shirt will be a bright colored shirt with an original art design on the front. On the back of the shirt will be a list of all the student’s names as well as the backstage crew and teaching staff. Please hand in all order forms no later than June 1st. Unfortunately, We will not be able to process any orders handed in after June 1st. It is mandatory for all Legacy Dance Company members to purchase a recital t-shirt and they will be the ONLY dancers that are permitted to wear a 2012 recital t-shirt on stage.   

PICTURE DAY AND RECITAL APPEARANCE

Make up should be worn. Purple eye shadow, blush, dark pink or red lipstick. (Mascara for older children) We are aware that some young children normally are not allowed to wear make up, but this is a special occasion. If make up is not worn while on stage, the stage lights will drown out their face. This will not show up well on the recital video. Lighter make up can be worn for picture day but please remember the lighting for the photograph will drown out their faces as well. Thank you for your understanding and participation.*Please make sure you have all costume pieces and shoes before you arrive to picture day, dress rehearsal, and recital.*All tights must be NEW- fresh out of the packaging without holes or dirt.*Wipe clean all shoes before picture day and recital. If you are unsure what to use please ask your child’s teacher for assistance.*DO NOT IRON COSTUMES!!!  If you have a concern about a wrinkled costume please see your child’s dance teacher and she can give you tips to resolve the issue.*If there is a question in regards to where a hair piece should go, how straps should be attached, etc… Speak to your teacher, check online, or refer to the binder in the reception area.

IMPORTANT NO UNDERWEAR, JEWELRY (UNLESS NOTED), TATTOOS, OR NAIL POLISH PERMITTED FOR PICTURE DAY OR ANY PERFORMANCES 

PICTURE DAY

Our annual picture day will be held on Thursday June 21 from 4:30-8:30pm at the dance studio. We will have professional photographs taken by EAP Photo. Picture order forms will be available on picture day. Cash, major credit cards, and checks payable to “EAP Photo” will be accepted. We will be displaying samples of their work in our waiting room on this date, as well as other items that are available for purchase. A picture schedule will be sent out shortly. Please have your dancer arrive at the studio 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time dressed in costume, tights, hair and make up done. There is no requirement to purchase recital pictures but it is mandatory for everyone to participate in the group shot. 

REHEARSAL/RECITAL DAY

Dress Rehearsal will be held on Friday June 22th from 6-9pm at Middlesex High School in Middlesex, NJ. Please plan to arrive by 5:30 so we can start promptly at 6pm. Please have your child dressed in his/her first costume with make up applied and hair done. We will be running dress rehearsal in the exact order of the show. Once your class is finished with rehearsal, you will be permitted to leave. We will NOT be rehearsing the finale. You are always more than welcome to stay and enjoy the rest of our rehearsal. Please be aware that rehearsal is a very hectic time for the teaching staff and they can not be held responsible for looking after your children, so please remember that ALL CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES. If you are unable to attend rehearsal with your child , please make arrangements beforehand for someone to be responsible for your child. ONLY LEGACY COMPANY MEMBERS WILL BE PERMITTED TO REHEARSE IN THEIR 2012 RECITAL T-SHIRT 

The show will be held on Saturday June 23 at 1pm. ALL STUDENTS, STAFF, AND VOLUNTEERS ARE TO ARRIVE AT 12PM. Performers will not be permitted to leave prior to the finale. For safety reasons, ALL students must be checked in and out by the same person, unless previous authorization has been given by Miss Amanda. Please remember to bring water and a snack that does not stain (i.e. pretzels, carrots) for your child. Remember that it is required that all members of the audience have a ticket. No one will be permitted to enter without their ticket.No cameras or video equipment will be permitted in the auditorium the day of recital.As a courtesy to our audience, light refreshments will be available for purchase during intermission.

CAMERAS AND VIDEO EQUIPMENT

You are welcome to bring your cameras and video equipment to dress rehearsal ONLY. This will be your only opportunity to videotape and take photographs while your child is performing. ABSOLUTELY NO FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY OR VIDEOTAPING AT THE RECITAL! Flash Photography can be very dangerous for all performers and will show up on the recital video. The recital will be professionally video taped. You may purchase a video or DVD the day of the show or you can pick up an order form at the studio. Anyone who videos any performance at the recital will be asked to leave the show by security without a refund. 

PAYMENTS/BALANCES

If your account is outstanding, your child unfortunately will not be able to participate in the recital.
