Is it OK to put tape over jewelry?

Posted by Bradley Herr at Feb 8, 2005 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
No. We can not state strongly enough that no jewelry or adornments are permitted to be worn during a match. The only exception to this is medic alert bracelets or necklaces. These have to be taped down so that they do not move. Taping over earrings is unacceptable. Beads braided into the hair are also unacceptable. A good rule of thumb is that if it doesn't begin with an 'S' it is not allowed. Scrunchies, Sweat bands, and Skull protectors are usually acceptable. It is noted that all of the proper attire for a uniform also begin with 's'; Shoes, Socks, Shin guards, Shorts, and Shirt!
Age groups are divided by the age of the player on August first of the year. The season begins in the fall and ends in the spring. A child must be 4 years of age on August 1, 20??, to play in that fall's season. They remain in that age bracket until the following fall. The age group divisions for in-house soccer are under 6 (U6), U8, U10, U13. Therefore, if a player is 5 years old on August 1, and then turns 6 on August 3, they would play U6 in the fall of that year and the spring of the next year. They would move up the following fall to U8.

Practice for in-house is one night a week. The day, time, and location are determined by the coach. Given the number of players involved, there are numerous practice sites. Most are held at the Highland Middle school, however, some are held at the airport or Brady's Run Park.
