Kickin' With B.A.S.A.

Skills Practice!! On Monday, Sept. 29th at 6pm BASA will again be sponsoring the Skills Practice provided by Girish Thakar and staff at the Highland Middle School Fields. Weather Permitting!! We will also have an “EsTeam” presentation by Chris Miranda for coaches and parents. This presentation is about teaching good sportsmanship. The practice is free and open to all BASA players and will be held “in-addition to” regularly scheduled team practices. All BASA Coaches are encouraged to attend. There will still be 3 age groups:U6, U8, U10&U13. There will be no sign up sheets for this weeks skills practice. Please just come out and join us on Mon. Emergency Phone Number If you have and emergency or need to contact someone at the fields on a Saturday while games are being played, we do have a phone at the concession stand. The number is 724-601-8023. B.A.S.A. would like say “Thank You” to Kris Sebastian from the Beaver County Probation Office for helping us procure the new phone that is located at the concession stand. Soccer Community Night On Monday, Oct. 13th at 7pm(Time correction from last week’s newsletter) BASA players have been invited to the Blackhawk High School Soccer Field to participate in the Soccer Community Night. Coaches and players will be recognized and participate in the festivities of the evening. Players should wear their uniforms (green side out). If there is any additional information or time changes we will post it in the newsletter and on the web site. Soccer Spirit Day To further promote the sport of soccer in our local community, B.A.S.A. is asking all in-house and travel team players to wear their soccer jerseys, in-house players wear green side out and travel players wear their green jersey, to school on Monday, Oct. 13th, 2003. The soccer club thanks every player for their continued interest and dedication to the sport of soccer. Picnic & Trophies Scheduled B.A.S.A. has scheduled a picnic and trophy presentations for Sat., October 25th beginning at 3:30pm at South Beaver Park. The picnic will be from 3:30pm-5:30 pm and the general meeting & trophy presentation will begin at 5:30pm. You will soon receive a flyer and R.S.V.P. form with the details. Please plan to have your family attend. NO TROPHIES WILL BE AWARDED AT THE SOCCER FIELDS. No Practices At Highland Fields! There will be “NO” practices on the Highland Middle School Soccer Fields on Thurs., Oct. 2nd. The Blackhawk Intermediate School will have their Open House on this night and they will use the Highland Middle School for over flow parking. Correction To Newsletter 9-20-03

It was stated in the Sept. 20th newsletter that on Mon. Sept at the Skills Practice that an "Esteam" Presentation would be presented for coaches and players when in fact it is for coaches and parents. I am sorry for this error. Coaches and parents please stay for the presentation if at all possible! Thank You!

Today the Concession Stand is running a special! “Sloppy Joe’s” will be offered for $1.50. But there is only a limited supply, so hurry over and have a good lunch and help support B.A.S.A.
