After a long off-season, the team has come into camp ready to go. Other than a few nagging injuries to midfielders Mike Michaelides and Rob Anderson, the team has come into pre-season in good shape. With several pre-season training sessions under there belts, Ouzo is ready for another exciting season in the top flight.
On a sour note, long time Ouzo member Steve Sacchitiello has decided to go on sebatacle for 1 season to get over a 5 goal performace by Bart last season. Betting a polish guy for pitchers of beer proved to be the wrong thing to do, especially to the leading goal scorer at Soccer City.
This season will be the beginning of 3 promising Ouzo careers. After successfully acquiring 2 stars from Oakville MCM (transfer price not disclosed), management would like to introduce Ruben Flores from Mexico and Chris Burton from England. These 2 stars of MCM will prove to be great offensive additions to Ouzo for 2005. Also begining his Career with Ouzo is Behn Wurthman, also from England. Recently acquired from Hamilton Star in the HDSL, Behn should be able to solidify an already strong and formidable back line.
With these 3 additions, along with the majority of last season's team still in tact, Ouzo is ready to grace the pitches of Soccer City for another exciting season in Division 1.
