Lakota United Soccer Club - Lynx

The Lynx had an outstanding Memorial Day weekend, placing second in the adidas Warrior Classic in Dayton, OH. The Lynx cruised through their pool games with dominant victories over Brighton Eclipse (Michigan) 7-0, Beavercreek Celtics 6-1 & Cincinnati West Wildfire 4-1. In the semi final CUSA (Centerville, OH) played the Lynx close for much of the game, before the Lynx scored late to record a comfortable 4-0 victory. In the final the Lynx matched up with Novi Jaguars for a classic game. Initially the Jaguars defense shut down the Lynx offense and when Novi took an early lead things looked bleak for the Lynx. However, the Lynx tied the score with a rare shot on goal. The Jaguars hit back immediately making the score 2-1 at half-time. In the second half the Lynx forwards finally figured out the Jaguars defense and put more and more pressure on the Michigan team's goal. The Lynx came close to scoring several times, hammering the ball off of the cross bar in the final minutes, but were unable to force the game into overtime.
