Royals Open up weekend with a Victory

Posted by Kettering Royals at May 17, 2008 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
In a busy weekend of MVABL action the Royals opened with a 13-1 victory in their first matchup.  A game that was supposed to be played on Opening Day, but Mother Day was ready to let the Boys play postponed it.  It was a battle of Left-Handers on the Hill as Falkowski (Royals) and Patton (Dragons) both threw complete games for their squads.  For the Boys in Blue it was their 3rd CG of this young season from their staff.  All the Royals contributed, led by rookie Holmberg who went 4-5 (3 runs / 3B / SB / 3 RBI) and veteran Jameson 3-3 ( run / 2B / BB / RBI).  The Royals face off against the Rangers in their game 2 nightcap before the Memorial Day break @ 7:30 pm again at AIA.  Be sure to arrive early to get a good parking spot, or if not you can always make your own. image
