Renegades conclude 2008 summer season
The Brazos Valley Renegades Maroon and White teams finished off their 2008 summer seasons this past weekend at the BV Renegade Invitational.
The Maroon team finished with an overall record of 32-8-1. The 32 wins sets the BVR  record for most wins in a summer season topping the previous high of 28 wins in 2005. The Renegades claimed 2nd place at the AAU Nationals in Orlando,FL. ,finishing the tournament with a 9-3 record. The Renegades reached the national championship game with 5 straight victories in elimination games before falling 7-4 to Chet lemons Juice in the title game.The Maroon team won tournament championships at the UMHB Tourney(3-0-1), Northwest Louisiana Invitational(5-1), Texas Invitational(5-0) and the BV Renegade Classic(4-0). The Renegades finished as semifinalist at the BV Renegade Invitational(3-2) and Quarterfinalist at the Austin Slam Invitational (3-2).
The BV Renegade White team finished the season with a 21-11-1 overall record. The Renegades placed 7th at the AAU Nationals in Orlando. The White Team claimed tournament titles at the UMHB Tourney (4-0) and the Houston Tourney (3-0-1), finished as runner up at the Texas State Tourney(2-2) and the BV Renegade Classic(3-1) and claimed 4th place at theTexas Invitational(3-2).
Congratulations to all Renegade players on an outstanding summer season.



AAU Nationals- 2008
The Brazos Valley Renegades Maroon team fell 7-4 to the Florida Chet Lemons Juice  in the 18/19U National Championship game at Champions Stadium at the Disney Wide World of sports complex in Orlando, Fl. The Renegades finished the tournament with a 9-3 overall record. The Renegades advanced to championship bracket play after finishing pool play 3-1. In the opening round the Renegades defeated BVR White 5-0 but then fell to Tuscaloosa, Alabama 9-7 in the 2nd round. Facing elimination the Renegades then won 5 straight games beginning with an emotional come from behind win over the New Jersey Bergen County Bombers. Trailing 5-1with 2 outs in the 6th inning the Renegades scored a pair of runs to cut the lead to 5-3 and then added 4 more in the top of the 7th to take a 7-5 lead. Stephen Tromblee retired the Bombers in order in the bottom of the 7th for the win. The Renegades then eliminated the Tallahassee, Florida Baseball Club 4-3 in 10 innings. Justin Beasley pitched a complete game gem as the Renegades then eliminated the West Florida Young Guns 5-1. Stephen Tromblee and Cory Ochs tossed back to back complete game victories as the Renegades defeated the Georgia Wiregrass Cardinals 5-3 and Tuscaloosa 14-2 to earn a spot in the title game. Stephen Tromblee, Justin Beasley, Kyler Crenshaw and Krey Bratsen were named to the all tournament team.
The BV Renegades White team earned a spot in the championship bracket as a #3 seed. Following an opening round  loss, the Renegades rebounded with a 9-1 victory over the Louisiana Warriors but were eliminated 4-3 by the Wiregrass Cardinals to finish 7th in the tournament. The Renegades collected two thrilling come from behind victories on day 1 of the tournament to propel them to championship bracket play. Trailing 8-4 entering the bottom of the 7th against the Puerto Rico Whitesox ,the Renegades scored 4 runs to send the game into extra innings. In the bottom of the 9th inning, Jeremy Zdunkewicz drove in Brian Tiemann with the game winner for a 9-8 victory. Later that same day the Renegades defeated the Baton Rouge Whitesox 4-3. Trailing 2-0 entering the top of the 7th the Renegades scored 4 runs to take a 4-2 lead. In the bottom of the inning Baton Rouge scored a run to cut the lead to 1 but Chase Wellbrock finished off a complete game by retiring the final batter with a runner in scoring position.  Chase Wellbrock was selected to the all tournament team.

 Renegades Conclude season at AAU Nationals - 2009
The BV Renegades Maroon and white squads concluded their summer seasons this past week at the AAU Nationals in FT. Myers, FL. The Maroon team advanced as the #2 seed after finishing pool play with a 3-1 record. The Renegades advanced to the final 8 for an AAU record 6th consecutive year before falling 4-1 in the quarterfinals to the Wiregrass Cardinals.Congratulations to Stafford Brantley as he was selected to the all tournament team. The Renegades finished the season with a 33-7 overall record,breaking the record for most wins in a season by a BVR team topping the previous high of 32 wins which was set in 2008. The Renegades claimed  tournament titles at the UMHB/Temple JC Tourney, Texas Invitational and the NW State Tourney. The Renegades finished as runner up at the BVR Classic and semifinalist at the Austin Slam Invitational and the BVR Invitational.
The Renegades White team advanced to championship bracket play for the 2nd year in a row before falling 3-0 in the opening round.The Renegades claimed division championship at the UMHB/Temple JC Tourney and finished as quarterfinalist at the BVR Invitational.
Congratulations to all players on a great summer.



Brantley selected to AAU All-Tournament Team.
BV Renegades CF Stafford Brantley was selected to the all tournament team at the AAU 18/19U Baseball National Championships held July 27-August 1 in Ft. Myers, FL..Brantley led the Renegades with a .600 batting average for the tournament collecting 9 hits in 15 at bats including 3 walks, 1 HBP, scored 5 runs and stole 2 bases as well as turning in a solid defensive effort throughout the tournament. Brantley at one point reached base safely in 13 consecutive plate apperances spanning over 4 games. The BV Renegades Maroon team earned the overall #2 seed following pool play, advancing to the final 8 for an AAU record 6th consecutive year, before falling 4-1 to the Wiregrass Cardinals of Georgia in the quarterfinals.The Renegades finished the summer season with a 33-7 overall record. Brantley a recent graduate of A&M Consolidated will continue his baseball career at Temple College

2007 BVR INVITATIONAL (RESCHEDULED) - FINAL RESULTS

Renegades place 6th at AAU Nationals- 2007
The Homeplate Yankees of Georgia defeated the Renegades 8-5 in the quarterfinal round of Championship Bracket play at the AAU 18/19U National Tournament at the Disney Wide World of sports complex in Orlando, FL..The Renegades finished the tournament with a 5-3 record and advanced to the championship bracket final 8 for the 4th consecutive season.The Renegades earned a spot in the final 8 bracket with two thrilling victories over East Cobb (3-2) and Chet Lemons Juice (5-4).The Juice went on to defeat the Yankees 2-0 in the championship game. Congratualtions to Nick Anders and Jake Burks as both were selected to the All-Tournament Team.

Renegades win pair at AAU Nationals - 2007
The Brazos Valley Renegades opened championship pool play by winning a pair of thrilling games Thursday at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex.
In the first game of the day the Renegades defeated the East Cobb Cardinals 3-2. Lance Robinson picked up the win going 6.1 innings and giving up only 2 runs while scattering 6 hits. Kurt Leer came on in the bottom of the 7th to pick up the save. Trailing 2-1 in the top of the 7th Nathan Neiser delivered a 1 out single. Chris Andreas followed with a triple scoring Neiser from 1st and Justin Beasley then singled thru a drawn in infield to give the Renegades the lead.
The Renegades then defeated previously unbeaten Chet Lemons Juice 5-4. Andreas gave the Renegades the lead with a 2 out single in the 4th inning scoring Steven Martin. The Juice pushed across 4 runs in the top of the 5th to take a 4-1 lead. The Renegades answered with 3 runs in the bottom of the inning to tie the game at 4. The game remained tied until the bottom of the 7th when Stafford Brantley led off the inning with a double. With the batter showing bunt,Brantley then stole 3rd base and scored when the shortstop, who was covering 3rd on the play, could not handle the throw down. Taylor Holt pitched 4.2 innings,Jake Burks picked up the win in relief.
The Renegades, now 5-1 in the tournament, will play the Palmetto Sand Gnats on Friday at 1pm to conclude championship pool play


Renegades advance at AAU Nationals -2007
The BV Renegades picked up a pair of wins on Tuesday at the AAU National Championship Tournament clinching a spot in the 2nd round Championship Pool play.  The Renegades opened the day with a 6-1 victory over Air Academy of Colorado. Jake Burks picked up the win while going the distance for the Renegades. The Renegades trailed 1-0 before plating 5 runs in the bottom of the 2nd. Ryan Yezak gave the Renegades the lead with a 2RBI single. The Renegades then defeated the Puerto Rico Bulls 8-4 later that same day. Justin Beasley got the win pitching 4 innings while giving up 2 runs on 3 hits and striking out 6.William Kankel recorded the save pitching the final 2 innings.The Renegades broke open a close game by scoring 5 runs in the top of the 7th inning on a 2 RBI double by Darrick Schubert and a 3RBI triple by Nick Anders.The Renegades opened the tournament with a 9-1 victory over the Chet Lemons Juice Red on Monday night under the lights at Cracker Jack Stadium at the Disney Wide World of Sports Complex. Stephen Tromblee picked up the win going 6 innings..Anders again provided the big hit with a 2 run homerun in the 6th inning. The Renegades will face the Homplate Yankees of Georgia on Wednesday morning in their final opening round pool game. Championship pool play will begin on Thursday.
