Ways Register:
Over the Phone: Please call The Woodlands Recreation Center at (281) 210-3950 (Credit Card only) with a minimum $50 deposit.
In Person: The Woodlands Recreation Center, 5310 Research Forest Drive, The Woodlands with a minimum $50 deposit.
Note: All fees must be paid in full at the time of each team’s first game of the season
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's):
Q: How much does it cost to register a team?
A: The fee to register a team is $450.00. This fee includes schedule, umpire fees, and awards for the regular season and tournament champions. Any team registering within one week (7 days) of the projected start date must pay the additional late fee of $50. All teams will also be responsible for paying a minimum $50 deposit (to go towards league fees) per season at the time of registration
Q: Do I have to pay the entire amount at the time of registration?
A: A $50 deposit fee is required at sign up (which goes toward league fees). The entire fee must be paid prior to the first game. Any team who has not paid prior to the first game will be forced to take a forfeit loss
Q: What times are games played?

Co-ed: Games are played Wednesday starting on the hour between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. (double headers)

Men’s (Wednesdays): Games are played Wednesday starting on the hour between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. (double headers)

Men’s (Thursdays): Games are played Thursday starting on the hour between 6:30 and 9:30 p.m.
Q: Where are games played?
A: All games are play at the Alden Bridge Sports Park. Located at 4751 TX-242, The Woodlands, TX 77382
Q: What leagues are available to play in?
A: Currently there are 3 different Leagues: Co-ed, Men’s Wednesday, and Men’s Thursdays
Q: Is there a Co-Ed Division?
A: There is a Co-Ed and two men’s leagues.
Q: Are there any requirements that have to be met for a roster?
A: Each player must be 18 years old. The permanent team roster but be emailed to the Softball Contractor prior to the 4th game. Players may only appear on one roster per league. For Co-Ed, there must be five men and five women. It is permissible to start a game with only eight players as long as four players are women.
Q: If I’m unable to field a team greater than 8 players, am I allowed to have “guest” players?
A: Yes, at the sole discretion of the opposing team manager. A team may borrow up to eight (8) guest players at the approval of the opposing manager. If the opposing manager allows it, the number of players on the game roster (including roster and guest players) shall not exceed 16. If players on the roster arrive the team with the guest players must drop the guest players (if exceeding 16)
Q: How many players can I have on my team?
A: Each team's roster may have up to 20 players
Q: When will the season schedule be posted?
A: Season schedules will be posted no later than Monday before scheduled league start date.
Q: What if I don't have a team, but I would like to play?
A: Sign up as a Free Agent, Click HERE to get started.
Q: What happens if it rains?
A: Games are to be played at the discretion of the League Coordinator.
In the event of inclement weather The Woodlands Township Parks Department will evaluate the Alden Bridge Softball in the following manner:

Tier A: Fields will be evaluated by 4 p.m. with all grass fields. In the event of grass field closures, all games will be canceled for the evening.

Tier B: In the event of inclement weather after 3 pm, the League Coordinator will re-evaluate the softball fields in between 4:30pm & 5:30pm. In the event that fields are unsafe for play all games will be cancelled by League Coordinator.

Tier C: In the event of inclement weather after 5:30 pm, the Softball Coordinator or approved League Official will re-evaluate the fields prior to the first game. In the event that the fields are unsafe for play all games will be cancelled by the Softball Coordinator or approved League Official.

Tier D: In the event of inclement weather during play, all games will be played until fields are deemed unsafe by League Officials or League Coordinator.

Q: Do we have to provide our own equipment?
A: Yes. You must provide bats, balls, and gloves. Please refer to the league rules for specifications of bats and balls.
Q: Are there any exceptions to the ASA Rules?
A: Yes, there are some exceptions. Please refer to the league rules for the exceptions to the rules.
Q: How many games are there in a season?
A: Every team is guaranteed 8 games during the regular season. Immediately after the completion of the regular season a single elimination tournament will begin with all teams seeded based on the division standings.
