Track Update for The Week (of May 1)
We had a great meet again today, Sunday, April 30! It was a dual meet vs. Good Shepherd and St. Joan of Arc. The weather was fantastic! We don’t have the results yet (they come from the host school, which this week was Good Shepherd), but they will be posted here when we get them.
Practice this week is Monday and Wednesday.
Mandatory Parents’ Meeting: This will be held at the beginning of the practice on Wednesday, May 3, at 5:45 pm. It should take about 15 minutes.
Our next meet is Sunday, May 7, at Trinity again, vs. St. Catherine and St. Pats. The meet starts promptly at 1:00 pm at Trinity; parents please have your child(ren) there not later than 12:15 pm.
Note that the next meet after Sunday, May 7 is also that week, on Wednesday May 10; this is at the Mechanicsburg High School track vs. St. Joes.
We will need fewer volunteers again this week, since we are not the host school. We will need our timers again, 2 people for the finish line spotter duty, and one for each of the field events.
The long range weather forecast for Sunday is mid 60's and cloudy.
The rain policy is: We will typically play through light rain, only postponing the meet if there is very heavy rain or thunderstorms. (It is very difficult to postpone a meet in advance due to scheduling issues, especially with three teams.) However, we don't control this, the host team does, and hopefully it will be sunny so it won't be an issue.
Also, here is the new and updated schedule:

Volunteer for the Track and Field All League Meet!
The 2006 All League Meet will be Sunday, May 21, at Central Dauphin HS Track at Noon. This is a very exciting event for the athletes, it is run like a professional high school or college level track meet. There are something like 500 athletes participating from 9 schools; the meet typically runs until 5:30 or 6:00 pm.
This year we are the host for the concessions stand. The good news is that we receive the revenue from this effort to support St. Theresa School athletic programs. The bad news (it's not that bad, really) is that we get to staff the whole thing.
Please sign up below for a time slot that you can help with concessions. This will be working either grilling burgers and hot dogs, or selling prepared food and of course drinks.
We are limiting the time slots to one hour, and will cover for you if your child has an event during your time slot, so you can leave and watch.
If you can't volunteer, please donate some drink or food item, that sign up form is immediately below this one.
On this form, please fill in your name in the time slot you choose, then click on "Submit Answers."
Thanks so much for your help! Here's the form:
