Sorcerer 18 Gold - Mumma

In an interiew with StudentSportsSoftball.com, Head Coach Phil Mumma announced the new additions to the Sorcerer Gold team.

We have three sophomores for fall and one freshman. The sophomores are: Jordan Wallace, a power-hitting middle infielder from Fairfield, CA., up from the Sorcerer 14s that finished fourth at nationals; Michelle Gascoigne, a lefty pitcher from Benicia, CA, who spins the ball exceptionally well and pitched last summer for the 16& U Flames; and Maia Monchek, a speedy slapper/outfielder from Notre Dame H.S. in Belmont, CA who played for the Berkeley Bears Gold. Our freshman is another very quick slapper/outfielder, Alex Robben, a freshman at Napa H.S. who played summer ball for the Sorcerer 14s. In addition to the four players listed above, we added Samantha Camuso, a UCLA commit, and her sister Mandy, infielders from Foothill H.S. near Redding, CA, from the North Valley Rapids Gold; Maya Burns, an outstanding catcher from Saint Ignatius H.S. in San Francisco, from the Berkeley Bears Gold; MacKenzey Bard, a hard-throwing pitcher from Napa H.S. and the Fresno Force 16s; Lindsey and Kelsey Chambers, outstanding middle infielders and twin sisters from Clayton Valley high school in Concord, CA and the Sorcerer 18A team; and Maile Kim, a powerful junior catcher from Notre Dame H.S. in Salinas who caught for last fall's Sorcerer/San Jose Sting combined team.
