Congratulations to Ray Collins (14U Sorcerer) and Bob Stauder on their correct answer to the last trivia question. The first Three Stooges movie, Soup to Nuts, was filmed in 1930, proving that either Coach Phil is over 75 or that he was not an original Stooge. Phil explains:

"As a point of clarification, I was never a member of the Three Stooges. However, I, along with Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Pete Best, was an original member of the Beatles, at that time known as the Silver Beatles. Best was later replaced by Ringo Starr and I left the band shortly after our Feb. 9, 1964 inaugural American appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show to begin playing and coaching fast pitch softball."

On Sunday, October 15, the Sorcerer Gold team coached by Phil Mumma participated in the Oakland Museum tribute to the women and girls who have taken Title IX—and run with it! The program included a screening of the HBO film Dare to Dream; soccer star Tiffany Roberts, 1996 Olympic Gold Medalist and 10-year veteran of the U.S. Women’s National Team; and demonstrations of pitching, hitting, and catching techniques by the Sorcerers.
