Samantha #5 "For the season, her numbers were eye-opening: she led the section in batting and home runs at .721 and 10 round-trippers respectively. She led the team in every offensive and baserunning category, except for RBI's where she tied with sister Mandy, a junior. At the Best of the West Tournament, where Foothill finished fifth, Camuso made all-tournament while batting .680 against some of the state and nation's top talent. In addition, she had 33 RBIs, 69 hits and 57 runs scored in 97 at bats to go with 16 doubles, 10 triples, 27 walks, and a mere two whiffs for a .781 on-base percentage. And her slugging percentage at 1.392 is Herculean."

There's no doubt about it, Sorcerers can hit. Check out these shots of some awesome hits.
Sorcerer starting off the summer season this Memorial Day weekend with a bang at the Running Rebel Gold Shootout in Stockton, CA. Scoring 34 runs in 8 games, Sorcerer gave competitors a taste of its hitting power.

On day one, Jordan Wallace led the Sorcerers in the power hitting department with 2 triples in 3 games. However, it was Maya Burns who demonstrated the most consistency at the plate, with 6 hits in 7 at bats, including one triple to deep left-center field in the third game. Also contributing triples were Ashley Rose and Whitney Shaw, who belted the ball deep into the outfield.

On day two, the power hitting leader was Shenise Cox, who belted back to back triples interrupted by a beautiful diving catch of her own in center field. However, it was Kasey Tydingco who drove in a total of 3 runs in 2 at bats, resulting in a 5-4 win over perennial rival San Jose Sting.

On day three, Katie Fleury demonstrated why she was selected CalHiSports Player of the Week two weeks ago with a 200+ ft. hit to left field. With a 254 ft. fence, Katie was forced to settled for a triple.

Sorcerer continues its summer season next Saturday afternoon at 12:30 PM against the Strike Zone 18 Gold at the Grapettes June Classic in Stockton.
