The Bears won against Twinsburg in their second game of the Parma MLK Tournament, 5-1 (that's FIVE to one). Nick Jancura was the sole goal scorer of the game scoring all FIVE goals. Assists went to Alan Michelich, Colton Corlett, Tim Becka, Josh Seither, Chris Cherney, Dennis Haessly, and Justin Tribuzzo. The Bears also took all FIVE points of the game (1 point per period, 2 points for the win), shutting out Twinsburg's and Euclid's chances for the championship game. The Bears will play Parma on Monday @ 2:00 PM, and then will see Parma again on Tuesday for the Championship Game @ 9:00 PM. Keep it tough, Bears! GOOD LUCK!!!
The Bears won the first game in the Parma MLK Tournament vs. Euclid, 5-2, and took 4-1/2 points out of a total of 5 for the game! Congrats to Nick Jancura on his 4 goals and to Dave Erne on his goal! Assists were made by Alan Michelich, Alex Mummert, Chris Gregoire, Nick Jancura, and Justin Tribuzzo...way to go, guys! Bob Hosta had 15 saves out of 17 shots. By the way, the Bears outshot Euclid, 35-17. Good luck in the second game of the tournament on Sunday vs. Twinsburg!
The Bears wound up playing Walsh Jesuit in the #3 vs. #4 game slot after the three preliminary games against Amherst, Jackson, and Walsh Jesuit. The score finished as a tie, 4-4. The tie breaker is how the Bears did head-to-head against Walsh Jesuit in that preliminary game, and the Bears had won 5-3. The team played great in both of those Walsh Jesuit games...glad to see you back! Congratulations! The Bears get back into league games starting next Sunday, 01/08/06, vs. Wooster @ Ice Land. Good Luck!!! May everyone have a safe, healthy, and Happy New Year!
The Bears have lost another two games, bringing the losing streak total to 4 in a row. They lost to the Brecksville Bees on Friday, 12/23/05, with a score of 7-2. The Bears had finished the first period in a tie, 2-2, but midway thru the second, they just seemed to run out of gas. The Bears then lost to Amherst Steele tonight in their first game of the Jackson Christmas Tournament with a score of 5-2. Bob Hosta did well in the net regardless of what the score shows. The Bears just couldn't get in the groove... Can the Bears get out of their losing streak??? They have done it in years past when they have lost 3 or 4 in a row, and we're sure they can come back again! They'll get that chance on Tuesday vs. Walsh Jesuit and on Wednesday vs. Jackson. Good luck, Bears!
