OFF TO A GOOD START
Trumbull has relied heavily on seniors Nick Watson, Matt Christoffersen, Dan Miressi, Charlie McGill and Nick Davidson. Watson is easily Trumbull's most physical player, a rock solid defender and team leader. Christoffersen has excellent offensive instincts and his improved speed has made him tough in the defensive zone and dangerous on the point. THS leading scorer, Miressi has carried the offense as a young crew of forwards develop. Charlie and Nick are among the Eagles most enthusiastic players providing physical, high energy shifts every time they hit the ice.
By far, the most pleasant surprise has been the play of junior goaltender, Andrew Oxfeld. "OX" has been very strong between the pipes and has played a big part in Trumbull's early success.
ALUMNI CHALLENGE
The Trumbull Alumni put a 7-4 beating on the Masuk Alumni in the second annual "Alumni Challenge". There were a lot of familiar faces with strong performances from Rob Humphries ('02), Allen Mihai ('04), Kyle Essary ('04) and Ryan Criscoulo ('06).
There was clearly some line matching going on to keep Coach Maxey and Coach Cooper in check!
