JENSEN HITS 100!

Posted by Coach Gonzo at Feb 28, 2017 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

Senior, Brady Jensen joined a very select crowd on the final game of the regular season as he notched his 100th career point, an assist to Matt Mocker on Trumbull's first goal.  The shifty forward was far from done as he added two more assists and a goal of his own as the Eagles fell to the Chieftans by a score of 8-4.

Jensen and the Eagles will begin tournament play next week where he will likely add to his impressive career totals.  The forward has produced 51 goals and 52 assists for a total of 103 career points.

He joins former Trumbull stand outs-  Michael Helinski '87, Brent Piepenbring '96, Craig Sliva '97, Anthony Chiravolo '01, Daniel Miressi '07 and Michael Ahearn '12 in reaching the 100 mark.

It was a senior night success as the Trumbull Eagles beat their cross town rivals, the St Joe's Cadets by a score of 2-1.  Senior, Will Guttman made 35 saves allowing only one goal and was stellar between the pipes.  Guttman got some help from fellow seniors, Trevor Rochelle and Will O'brien who each scored for the Eagles and senior, Jake Liebowitz who added two assists.

The win was Trumbull's eight of the season and qualified them for the CIAC DII tournament.  The final pairings will be posted on March 3rd.  For pairings and brackets, click on the above headline.
