NEW FACES
The 2008-2009 Eagles include a number of talented new players. Freshmen Cory Watson, Brandon Elbert and Sean Dufficy will join a young Trumbull defense. First year goalies Chis Sarosky and Jordan DeGeorge will support senior Stephen Anrico in net. The offense adds freshman, Michael Ahearn and two sophomore transfers, Trevor Saggese from Fairfield Prep and Shaun Kennedy from ND Fairfield.

CORPORAL ROB HUMPHRIES
Former THS goaltender, Rob Humphries, was recently promoted from Lance Corporal to Corporal. Rob is currently stationed at a Marine base in Iraq. He is the top gunner on a Mine Resistant and Ambush Protected Vehicle. His unit is out on patrol every day for between 10 and 12 hours. Rob's parents say that he is in good spirits and may be back for Thanksgiving.
In 2003, Rob was voted team MVP and received All-State honors as he helped lead Trumbull to its first FCIAC Tier II Championship.

Former Trumbull stand-out, Charlie Ogalin, rececently completed his senior year at the Berkshire School. Starting in net for Berkshire, Ogalin lead his team to an 18-12-1 record and a New England Prep School West Championship. Berkshire ended their season with a 4-5 OT loss to Avon, the eventual league champion. Charlie received the team's MVP award.
Charlie took Trumbull to the CIAC DII semi-final as a freshman, a double OT loss in the CIAC DII final as a sophomore and to an OT loss to Notre Dame of Fairfield in the CIAC DI semi-final during his junior year.
Allen Mihai, finished his freshman year at Curry College with 2 goals, five assists and seven points. Mihai logged major minutes on defense for the Colonels which went 16-8-1 before losing 7-2 to Fitchburg Sate in the ECAC DIII quarter-final.
Dan Miressi, lead the New England Junior Falcons in scoring with 27 goals, 29 assists and 56 points. Miressi finished 12th overall in Empire Junior Hockey League scoring. Dan will return for one more season with the NE Junior Falcons before pursuing his college hockey career. Miressi is a former 100 point scorer for THS.
SENIOR NIGHT SUCCESS
The Trumbull Eagles recognized their three seniors the best way possible, with a big win on Senior Night. All three seniors took part in the 7-1 victory over the Masuk Panthers. Senior, Co-Captain, Jake Watson opened up the scoring with a blast from the point 29 seconds into the game. After assisting on Watson's initial goal, fellow senior, Matt Hyde notched one his own. Hyde ripped a shot over the Panther goalie's shoulder for Trumbull's fourth of the game. Andrew Oxfeld made fifteen saves to hold Masuk to one first period goal.
Trumbull followed up the win with a poor showing against New Milford to end the regular season at 9-11-0. The Eagles will face Ridgefield this Saturday in the FCIAC play-offs and try to dial in and get healthy for the CIAC DII State Hockey Tournament.
