First Day of Practice

Posted by Dan Sanow at Jul 27, 2009 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

The first day of football practice will be Monday, August 3rd, 6:00-8:00pm, at Fulmer Field.  The first 3 days of practice are for conditioning.   Bring only your helmet, mouthguard, practice jersey, t-shirt, shorts, cleats, and plenty of water. All players must condition for 3 days before they can participate in any contact drills.

If you couldn't make one of our regular registration days, you can still register the first day of practice.  Please bring a copy of your child's state certified birth certificate.

AJF would like to thank everybody who has registered for 2009!   It will be a great season.

Concussion Awareness Training

Posted by Dan Sanow at Jul 27, 2009 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

All Head Coaches (both football & cheer), Athletic Directors, and Presidents must attend the PSJFL concussion training at 1:00pm on Saturday, August 1st, at Kent Meridian High School in the East Auditorium.  This building is located on the right as you enter the campus.  If a required attendee goes to the SWAC training, they still must be present at the PSJFL training on Saturday.  The concussion education will be open to all coaches so they can participate in practice the following Monday.

There will be another concussion training session held at 6:00pm on Wednesday, August 5th at French Field.  Any coach who did/does not make the first two concussion meetings (SWAC & Kent) cannot coach until they attend the meeting scheduled at Kent on the 5th.

Remember, this "concussion education" is mandatory before any and all coaches can practice on the field.  All concussion training applies to cheer.
