PSJFL Football Certification

Posted by Dan Sanow at Aug 12, 2009 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Auburn's player certification with the Puget Sound Junior Football League is on Saturday, August 22nd, at 10:00am behind Kent-Meridian High School.  The certification process is performed at the baseball fields behind the tennis courts.  Drive in the main entrance and head straight back between buildings and you'll see the tennis courts.  Players are staged by team in the tennis courts.  Auburn's time slot is at 10:00am so all the players must be there at that time.

Weight certification is done without any pads, helmets, or other playing gear.  The player should wear shorts, t-shirt, and tennis shoes or flip flops.  The player cannot be barefoot.  Cheerleaders do not need to go to certification.

Every football player must certify in order to be eligible to play in a game.  The weight classifications are strictly enforced by the League.  If you are unsure of your child's weight or have any questions, come see a board member over by the equipment container during practice and they would be happy to answer any questions that you might have.  There is a certified scale that is available at practice for players to check their weight.

AJF must have a copy of a state issued birth certificate for a player to certify with the league.  "Hospital" birth certificates cannot be accepted.  If you haven't provided your child's birth certificate to AJF, take care of that NOW!
