Jesse Burkett Little League Girls

The Jesse Burkett L.L. girl All-Stars beat the Jack Barry All-Stars by a score of 12 - 5. Melissa Beaudry pitched 6 strong innings of 1 hit softball while striking out 13 Barry hitters. After another strong 1st inning by the Burkett hitters, the girls scored 8 runs and chased the starting pitcher away before the 3rd out could be made. Melissa helped out her own cause by scoring twice in the inning. Ashley Pageau lead the team offensively with two hits while Melissa, Liz Griffin, Annie Castronovo, and Mikaela McSherry each had one hit. Kelley Fluet and Colleen Olen each walked three times. The girls next game will be against the winner of the Joe Schwartz vs Jack Barry game on Tuesday July 8th
