South Charlotte Panthers

The SC Panthers were named co champions of the Impact/Wake Forest Tournament with the Impact Dirtbags when the championship game was rained out on Monday morning. After sweeping pool play the Panthers faced off against the On Deck O's 07 team in the semi finals where they took a 6-0 win.

Rock Hill High School senior and South Charlotte Panther standout for the past 5 seaons, Josh Salay has signed his NLI with hometown Winthrop University to play for the Eagles. Congratulations to Josh and his parents Richard Salay and Theresa Salay.

The original Panther; outstanding pitcher and outfielder; Erik Sommerville has signed with Francis Marion College to play baseball in 2007 for the Patriots. Congratulations go out to Erik and his family on this exciting signing. Erik will join the "Swamp Fox" Patriots following his upcoming senior season for the Providence Panthers as they look to defend their conference title.

Outstanding left handed Panther pitcher Zach Parmer has signed a national letter of intent with Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Zach will join the Terriers following his senior campaign for the Central Cabarrus Vikings this spring. Congratulations to Zach and his family on his signing.

Standout SS/RHP Justin Schumer has signed his NLI to play with the University of North Carolina Asheville Bulldogs in 2007. Congratulations go out to Justin and his family. Justin is in his senior year at East Mecklenburg High School where he will lead the Eagles in their 06 season before attending UNCA next year.
