BLAINE LEWIS TO CATAWBA VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE

SCP 2011 BLAINE LEWIS - Marvin Ridge HS has committed to attend school and play baseball at CATAWBA VALLEY COMMUNITY COLLEGE. Blaine will join CVCC this fall.

Congratulations to Blaine and his parents Jack and Lisa.

NATHAN HELVEY TO COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON 

SCP 2012 NATHAN HELVEY has committed to attend college and play baseball for the COLLEGE OF CHARLESTON. Nathan will join the Cougars following his senior year at Fort Mill High School where he will help lead the Yellow Jackets in 2012.

 Congratulations to Nathan and his parents John and Valerie.

BRAD STONE COMMITS TO NORTH CAROLINA STATE

SCP 2012 BRAD STONE - Ardrey Kell High School committed to attend school and play baseball at North Carolina State University. Brad will join the Wolf Pack following his senior season at Ardrey Kell.

Congratulations to Brad; his father Howard and mother Terry.

SOUTH CHARLOTTE PANTHER / HIGH SCHOOL NEWS

NORTH CAROLINA FINALS

Behind ace SCP 2011 JEFFERY SPRINGS the SOUTH POINT RED RAIDERS won the 2011 North Carolina State 3A Championships 2-1 in a best of three versus NE Guilford High School. Springs won game 1 with a complete game victory on the mound to take his season record to 11-0. In game 2 the Red Raiders lost a last inning 5 run lead to take the finals to a game 3 match up. SCP 2013 ANDREW LOCKLEAR took the mound and pitched a complete game for the win and the championship. He gave up 5 hits while striking out 5 and allowed no base on balls to lead the Red Raiders to the Championship. Andrew also had 2 hits in the deciding game. SPRINGS earned MOST VALUABLE PLAYER honors for his game 1 victory and also led the Red Raiders at the plate going 7 for 11 with 3 doubles.
