SOUTH CHARLOTTE PANTHERS CANCER AWARENESS
October 2013 kicks off the Panthers 6th season of Cancer Awareness and Goals. Each SCP team has a "WINS" goal where if the team meets or exceeds their goal of WINS for the season the SCP program doubles their annual contribution to the American Cancer Society on a per win basis. The Cats will promote Cancer Awareness this season by sporting a new "Pink Panther" hat during their October schedule and race to the GOAL.

GARRETT DAVILA SIGNS WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE
SCP 2015 GARRETT DAVILA - South Point High School has committed to attend college and play baseball at the UNIVERSITY OF TENESSEE. Garrett will join the Volunteers following his career at South Point and with the SCP 2015's.
Congratulations to Garrett; his parents Oscar and Karen; sister Summer and brother Timothy.
Evan Odum to University of North Carolina
EVAN ODUM TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA
SCP 2016 EVAN ODUM has committed to attend college and play baseball at the UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA. Evan is the first SCP 2016 committment and the first UNC 2016 commit. He will join the Tar Heels following his career at Lumberton High School and with the South Charlotte Panthers.

ALEX DESTINO AND THE USA NATIONAL 18U TEAM BRING HOME THE GOLD MEDAL !!!
Team USA won the Gold Medal with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Japan in the IBAF Junior AAA/18U World Cup this week in Taichung, Taiwan. This is the first Gold medal for the USA 18U National Team since 1999. Complete game results can be seen on the USA.

ALEX DESTINO SELECTED TO THE USA BASEBALL 18U NATIONAL TEAM
SCP 2014 ALEX DESTINO - North Buncombe HS has been selected to the 2013 USA 18U National Baseball Team. Alex was selected to the final 20 man roster during final trials in California where the team will practice before departing for Taichung, Taiwan to begin pool play in the 2013 IBAF Junior AAA/18U World Cup. Games and results can be followed on the USA Baseball web site.

JORDAN GREENE TO CLEMSON TIGERS
SCP 2015 JORDAN GREENE - Charlotte Country Day has committed to attend college and play baseball at CLEMSON UNIVERSITY. Jordan will join the Tigers following his playing career with the Panthers and at Country Day.
