SOUTH CHARLOTTE PANTHERS - SINGLE SEASON RECORD BREAKERS

SCP 2017 ALEC BURLESON set two new single season SCP records in the 2015 season. Alec broke the record for RBIs driving in 72 runs on the season breaking the record of 70 set by SCP 2016 Luke Robinson set in 2013. Alec hit an outstanding .568 with runners in scoring position in addition to a team leading 5 sacrifice flys.

Alec also broke the record for Batting Average going 77 for 168 hitting .458 for the season. The long standing record was held by SCP 2009 and current Major Leaguer Richie Shaffer in the 2008 season at .445.

AUSTIN LOVE TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA

SCP 2017 AUSTIN LOVE - West Rowan High School has committed to attend college and play baseball at the UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA. Austin will join the Tarheels following his career at West Rowan and with the 2017 Panthers.

SCP 2016 CHRISTIAN UMPHLETT - South Meck High School has signed his National Letter of Intent to attend college and play baseball at FRANCIS MARION UNIVERSITY. Christian will join the Patriots after finishing his senior season for the South Meck Sabres.
