DODGERS (Major Baseball)

Andrew Turcotte pitched a complete game, striking out 10 walking five, and giving up only 5 hits. The most spectacular play of the year and maybe years to come was in the bottom of the third. Carl Berg hit a hard shot to short snagged by David Wordell he then tagged second, and fired the ball to first to end the inning. The Dodgers had 8 hits, 3 in the 4th. David tore the field up batting 3 for 4 with 3 RBI. Andrew Turcotte's triple in the 4th drove home 3 runs to break the game open with a 6 - 1 lead after 4 innings of play. Kyle Couto made some great stops behind the plate and also added 1 hit. Weston Thurston had 1 hit, Kyle Benivides had 1 hit, and Mike Rodriques added a hit too. Seth Turner had a great catch in center field. Without the great defense in the field by Andrew Marion, Dan Kinnane, Christian Helger, Ben Theriault, and Santi Nocera, the Dodgers would never posted there first win of the season. Good Job Guys Keep Up The Good Work.

The Dogders only hits of the afternoon came from David Wordell, Dan Kinnane and Andrew Marion. David Wordell pitched 2 innings striking out 4 and giving up only 2 hits for zero runs scored by the Yankees. Ben Theriault came in for David in the 3rd inning striking out 2. In the 6th Kyle Couto struck out 2 to end the game.

Kyle Benevides ripped a triple in the top of the 3rd to score the Dodgers only run of the evening. Andrew Turcotte pitched 5 innings fanning 12 while walking only 2. Seth Turner had 1 hit, Kyle Couto had 1 hit, and Mike Rodriques also had 1 hit. Great fielding from the following players kept the game close David Wordell, Andrew Marion, Christian Helger, Santi Nocera, Weston Thurston, and Dan Kinnane. Seth Turner and Kyle Benevides extended there hitting streak to two games.

David Wordell struk out 10, walked only 2 batters in 4 innings of work in the Dodgers fist game of the year. In relief Mike Rodriques pitched one inning. Seth Turner had 2 of the 4 hits on a bunt that turned into a base hit. Pitcher David contributed with a hit and Kyle Benevides ripped a double down the left field line. Kyle's hit was the longest of the game. David's ERA will remain at 0.00 because all of the runs were unearned. Kyle Couto had a great day behind the plate stopping everything in sight, and throwing a runner out trying to steal second. Great job guys there are many more good games to come.
