Snack Stand Volunteers

Posted by Beth Johnson at Nov 26, 2006 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
The League needs volunteers for Snack Stand Managers and Snack Stand shoppers. Please be sure to check the volunteer boxes when registering your child for the Spring 2007 season. The League needs many volunteers to successfully operate each season.
Less than 1% of our registrants have trouble filling out our online registration forms. The problem is usually due to a firewall at work and when they try at home all is well. If you are having trouble registering online, stop by the Apple Store in Manhattan Village at Sepulveda and Rosecrans, near the north end of the shopping center. We will be at the store from 10-noon on the first two Saturdays of December (12/2 & 9) to answer questions, but even without us, you could walk up to a computer and register there any time at your convenience. Also, if you are new to MBLL, go ahead and register online now, but swing by the store one of the two dates that we are there and bring your player's passport or birth certificate as well as proof of residence. Date of birth proof must be a document issue by a US federal, state or protectorate government. Hospital certificates will not work. Regards, Dennis Kane Past President, MBLLimage

City to honor Minors SB Champs!

Posted by Dennis Kane at Oct 13, 2006 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Thanks to the efforts of coaches Len Jasuta and Rob Lucenti, the MB Minor Softball State Champions will be honored by Mayor Mitch Ward and the MB City Council at the city council meeting this Tuesday, Oct 17. The council meetings begin at 6:30pm at City Hall, 1400 Highland Ave. We would like the team to meet and assemble outside of City Hall by 6:15pm. The players are to wear their uniforms (jerseys, shorts, sox, jackets). The city council is changing mayors at this meeting, hence it will be Mayor Ward's final meeting in the role of mayor. There will be a big crowd, so please be on time(early). The council will honor the team early in the meeting, allowing the girls to return home to the enjoyment of their homework. Thank you to Our Volunteers!

Posted by Beth Johnson at Sep 13, 2006 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Greetings, I sent a message earlier to the parents of the team, but I wanted to alert everyone else that the Little League Minor Softball Girls State Champions will have their picture in the Beach Reporter this week(Thurs, 9/14). We waited until the girls and their friends returned from summer vacations and were back in school. Also, in my haste to thank the volunteers who worked so hard putting on the District & Sectional Tournaments at the Marine Complex, I failed to mention the "hardest workers of them all".... our snackstand volunteers. To all of the folks who worked tirelessly in the snackstand, thank you very much for your hours of effort in making our hosted tournaments great! On behalf of a grateful league, officials, coaches and most importantly - your daughters, thank you! We do appreciate your dedication. I am not going to mention individual names, because I know I will forget someone. With sincere appreciation, MBLL
