Walk-in Registration and Residency/Birthdate Certification at Dick's Sporting Goods
If you are having trouble registering online, or if your player is new to the league and you need to show proof of residency and date of birth, please stop by Dick's Sporting Goods this coming Sunday, December 14 betwen 10 AM and 1 PM.

If your player is new to MBLL (regardless of whether your player has older MBLL siblings), we need to see a government-issued proof of date of birth (birth certificate, passport, not baptism certificate) and 3 items of proof of residence (e.g. drivers license, utility bills). Yes, 3 items for proof of residence is overkill, but that is the Little League requirement. You can bring them to the walk-in registration, or we will contact you to bring them to us at a later date

In conjunction with Manhattan Beach Little League
5 Day Intensive Winter Baseball Camp
December 22nd, 23rd,27th, 29th & 30th
Big Marine Field, Manhattan Beach
This camp is designed for player’s age 8-14 yearsold. All instruction will be age and skill appropriate.
8-12 years old camp is from 8:30am-12:30pm. $199.00
13-14 years old camp is from 1:00pm-5:00pm. $199.00

We limit our Camp to a total of 100 campers:
Ø Twenty-five (25) 8-10 years old
Ø Twenty-five (25) 11-12 years old
Ø Fifty (50) 13-14 yearsold.
Our 10 to 1 player to coachratio will ensure that each camper receives an adequate amount of personalinstruction.

Campers willplay in games during the week and they will get the opportunity to experienceplaying positions other than their normal position. This gives an opportunityfor the campers to learn new positions during game situations.
Camperswill be thoroughly evaluated, but also have the opportunity to play in livegames where campers will be able to showcase what they have learned verses whatthey know.
9 INNINGS willprovide campers with a camp Tee-shirt, a certificate of participation at theconclusion of the camp and 6 specialty awards will be given per age group. Water and healthy snacks will beprovided throughout the day.
Camperswill be responsible for bringing the following: Baseball Glove, Bat, Hat, Baseball Cleats (rubber), Socks,Baseball Pants, Practice Shirts, Helmets, Tennis Shoes, Supporter and cup.
ABOUT THE CAMP DIRECTOR
Mr.Ira Smith has18 years of professional baseball experience, 14 years as a player and 4 yearsas a coach. He was drafted in 1990 by the Los Angeles Dodgers, he played 3years in Dodgers Organization, 4 years in San Diego Padres Organization, 2years in Detroit Tigers Organization and 5 years Independent League (NorthernLeague). Ira started his professional coaching career in 2004 as a Bench Coachfor the Lincoln Saltdogs, then in 2005 he was promoted as the teams HittingCoach. During that season they broke team and league records. In 2006-2007 he was the Hitting Coachof the Joliet Jackhammers.
Ira Smith’sCollege Accomplishments include:
- 2-Time Division I Batting Championships
(Firstplayer in Division History to win back to back titles 1989 & 1990)
- Ranks 12th All-Time NCAA Career Batting Average of .467
- Mid Eastern Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year

Inaddition, Ira Smith has conducted private lessons and coaching in the PalosVerdes area for over 7 years. Thispast summer Mr. Smith began coaching with the Manhattan Beach Little League. Hecoached the Manhattan Beach JR Select Team to a sectional championship. He hascontinued to work with Mahattan Beach Little League this fall as coach of theRivercats; a 13-14 year old fall team.
