Lumber Company opens play Saturday, August 13th in the USSSA "D" State Tournament in St. Charles, IL at the East Side Sports Complex on field #2 at 12:00pm against Young Guns.  There are 35 teams in this weekend's "D" State Tournament.  Click the link below to view the entire bracket.

Lumber Company went 4-1 in route to taking the 7/23 Joliet USSSA "D" Qualifier tourney crown.  For their 1st place effort the Lumcber Company won a paid bid ($325) to the USSSA "D" National Tournament held in Rockford, IL over Labor Day weekend.  The Lumber Company game scores were as follows.

• Game 1: Lumber Co. 13, Disturbed 3
• Game 2: Lumber Co. 15, Dynasty 8
• Game 3: Lumber Co. 12, M&L 7
• Game 4: M&L 12, Lumber Co. 6
• Game 5: Lumber Co. 18, M&L 8

The tourney win was a great team effort by the LC.  Next up for the Lumber boys is the Joliet City Open Tourney, begining 7:30pm on Tuesday (7/26) against Barcode 52 on field #1.

Lumber Company next plays in the Open Division of the Joliet City Tournament on Thursday, July 28th at 9:00pm on field #1 against the winner of KBI and Barcode 52.  Lumber Co. went 1-1 on Tuesday night with a 22-9 opening win over Barcode 52 and then dropped a 20-16 game versus The Department.  All Open game scores and schedules are as follows.

Tuesday's Score 

• Lumber Co. 22, Barcode 52 9
• Roaddawgs 15, KBI 5
• The Department 20, Lumber Co. 16

Thursday's Schedule

• 7:30pm: Roaddawgs vs. The Department (field #6)
• 7:30pm: Barcode 52 vs. KBI (field#1)
• 9:00pm: Lumber Co. vs. the KBI and Barcode 52 Winner (field #1)

Lumber Company opens this weekend's Windy City USSSA Major NIT in Joliet, IL on Friday, June 10th at 7:00pm against fellow Illinois "D" team Alpine Machine on field #1.  A Lumber Company win at 7:00pm would set up a 9:30pm match-up with Resmondo, the number one team in all of softball.  There are 35 of the best softball teams from across the USA regardless of class playing in this weekend's tournament.  Click the link below to view the entire bracket.
