The Joliet City Tournament games for Tuesday, July 26th were canceled due to rain. This means the Lumber Company's Tuesday night game against Alfa's/Classic Construction will be rescheduled. That game will now be played on Wednesday, July 27th at 7:30pm on field #1.

Lumber Co. Drops City Tournament Opener

Lumber Company dropped their Joliet City Tournament's opening game against a very good Creative Design team by a final score of 25-3. Lumber Company looks to rebound on Tuesday, July 26th in their second game of the City Tournament. Lumber Co. plays a familiar foe, Alfa's/Classic Construction, at 8:15pm on field #2. Other first round Open Division scores from Monday night were as follows. Primetime 18, KGB 13 D'Arcy/Marino Construction 11, Alfa's/Classic Construction 9 Tuesday Night's Open Division games in the Joliet City Tournament are as follows. Lumber Co. Finish 5th at NSA "D" State

Lumber Company came away from the 2005 NSA "D" State tournament in Kankakee, IL with a 5th place finish from the field of 30 teams. Lumber Company finished the weekend with a 4-2 record. The scores from the Lumber Company's games were as follows. Lumber Co. 7, Lethal Softball 0 Lumber Co. 6, Scoots/Swing Kings 5 Wizards 16, Lumber Co. 6 Lumber Co. 17, Bombers 16 Lumber Co. 13, Public Enemy 12 Add-a-Bath/Demarini 14, Lumber Co. 10 The Lumber Co.'s two losses came to the hands of the State Champion and runner up. The top five finishers from the NSA "D" State tournament were as follows. 1.) Wizards 2.) Add-a-Bath/Demarini 3.) Chi-Town 4.) Players 5.) Lumber Co. and Jesse Oaks Leading the Lumber Company offense all weekend were J.Filas, .625, 1 HR, 8 RBIs; J.Pool, .625, 5 RBIs; M.Staab, .625; A.Blazekovich, .579; T.Giese, .562, 1 HR, 8 RBIs; J.Lesnik, .556; K.Wallace, .538, 1 HR, 5 RBIs; R.Motta, .529, 1 HR, 7 RBIs; B.Munday, .500 and J.Behun, .500. Lumber Company begins play in the Open division of the Joliet City Tournament on Monday, July 25th at 8:15pm against Creative Design on field #2. There are 7 teams in this year's Open division Tournament. The Monday night Open division games are as follows. Lumber Co. 1-2 in Joliet USSSA "D" NIT

Lumber Company went 1-2 in the July 16th USSSA "D" NIT in Joliet, IL. Lumber Co. opened the tourney with a 12-7 win against Yard Dawgs. Lumber Co. then lost their next two games. The first one to Team Complete with the final score being 6-5 and the second to Stallion's, with that final coming in at 14-6. Not a good weekend, but the Lumber Co. will put that behind us as we have the NSA "D" State tournament coming up this weekend on Saturday, July 23th and Sunday, July 24th in Kankakee, IL. Having good weekend's at the plate for the Lumber Co. were J.Pool, .727; J.Filas, .600 and J.Lesnik, .500.
