Lumber Company

Lumber Company took 3rd place finishing 2-2 in the June 1st NSA "D" WSQ at K-Mine Field in Godley, IL.  For their efforts the Lumber Company earned a NSA "D" Super Regional  berth for later this summer in Warsaw, IN.  The Lumber Co. game scores were as follows.

Game 2: Lumber Co. 7, Kevinagain's 6
Game 3: Lumber Co. 19, Roaddawg's 11
Game 4: Get Boozled 9, Lumber Co. 8

 Leading the LoCo offense over the weekend were K.Wallace, .692; K.Nahs, .600; M.Staab, .600; R.Wilda, .583; B.Strum, .538; M.Wallace, .500; B.Munday, .500 and M.Narducci 1 HR. 

Lumber Co. next game will be Tuesday, June 3rd at 7:30pm on field #4 against Presicion in JPD League play.  Lumber Co.'s next tourney will be a USSSA "D" Qualifier June 21st and 22nd in Joliet.

 

Lumber Company opened the 2008 season by winning the 12 team Joliet Spring Training Tournament, going 4-1 in route to the tournament title.  For their 1st place finish Lumber Company took home the $400 first prize.  The Lumber Company game scores were as follows.

With the wind blowing in most of the day, it was a mix of timely hitting, good pitching by Kenny Wallace and a strong defense (which turned 6 double plays) that lead the Lumber Co. to the tourney crown.  Leading the LoCo offense for the weekend were J.Filas, .857, 5 RBIs; K.Nahs, .733, 8 RBIs, 2 HRs; T.Giese, .727; M.Narducci, .687, 5 RBIs; M.Wallace, .611; B.Strum, .500, 7 RBIs, 1 HR and M.Baranski, .500.

Lumber Company's next tournament, the Joliet USSSA "D" NIT at the Inwood Sports Complex,  is this coming weekend - April 26th and 27th. 

Lumber Company's 6th annual bowling fundraiser will be held on Friday, April 11th at Comet Lanes in Crest Hill, IL starting at 7:00pm (check in begins at  6:30pm).  The event will cost $20 per person ($40 per couple).  The $20 includes 3 games of bowling, shoes and food.  Please spread the word and come out and support Lumber Company Softball.

Lumber Company Softball would like to extend congratulations to outfielder Brad Walsh and his wife Krista on the birth of their second child, Calloway Brianne, on Januray 31st.
