The Seniors Twins finished the interleague playoffs undefeated, as they beat the North Miami Amercian Dodgers 4-2 Wednesday night. Congrats to the whole team, and especially to Adrian Irwin, who took over the team midseason and really molded them into a great team!
The NMBOLL requests and strongly encourages all of its umpires to join the District 8 Umpires Association. Not only will this allow you to better communicate with your fellow umpires in the District, it is a prerequisite to umpiring tournament games. In a hard fought playoff, the Orioles emerged victorious over the Cubs, defeating them Wednesday night. Congratulations to the Orioles, and to both teams for a very successful season!
Reds Hold Off Diamondbacks for Majors Crown

The Reds emerged from the grueling Majors playoffs undefeated Sunday, as they defeated the Diamondbacks, 9-7. After 4 innings of a pitching duel between Ozney Guillen and Josh Karr, the Reds erupted for 6 runs in the bottom of the 5th. The Diamondbacks gamely fought back in the top of the 6th with 4 of their own, but fell just short. Congratulations, Reds for the championship, and to both teams for demonstrating high levels of skill and sportsmanship on Sunday!
The Cardinals were the first NMBOLL team to emerge from the rain-soaked playoffs as champions. They defeated the White Sox, 15-5 on Sunday, June 1.
