Electronic Scorekeeping Clinic

Posted by Bob Diosdado at Jan 8, 2010 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )

Electronic Scorekeeping Clinic
Wednesday, March 2nd  6:30pm - 8:00pm
Location:
Tierrasanta Rec Center - Room 2

Tierrasanta Little League is hosting a special training clinic on a Electronic Scorekeeping given by GameChanger on Wednesday, March 2nd at 6:30pm at the Tierrasanta Rec Center located at 11220 Clairemont Mesa Blvd. San Diego Ca 92124 and has extended the invitation to all leagues in District 33.

Don't miss out on this exciting innovation. This free clinic will explain the GameChanger equipment, software, and techniques. It is expected that this clinic will be well attended and an RSVP is required. Space is limited, to RSVP go to: https://spreadsheets1.google.com/viewform?formkey=dGg5UWctTFVEdEVmWEZfSTA0WklMV2c6MQ

Participants should bring an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch (if you have one) to the training session although it is not required to participate in the session. To download the free app on your device before the meeting go to: http://itunes.apple.com/app/little-league-baseball-softball/id395980622

For more information on this clinic please contact Ed Earl at 858-232-3677 or by email at eearl@san.rr.com

During the 2010 9/10 District 33 All Star Tournament, Tierrasanta Little League scored all of the games with GameChanger, an electronic scorekeeping app, on an iPad.  The coaches and players enjoyed having complete stats e-mailed to them after every game and the out of town family and relatives loved watching the live game play by play updates in real time on the internet.

This past Fall, Little League International named GameChanger as the official scorekeeping app for all Little League teams and now allows electronic devices in the dugout to accommodate use of electronic scorekeeping.

GameChanger revolutionizes traditional baseball scorekeeping, instantly calculating box scores and dozens of statistics for each player while delivering live, streaming play-by-play updates to parents and out of town fans. Because all of the information is instantly available to both teams, there is really only one scorekeeper required at each game.

Information is stored on their central website so each game can be scored using any iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.  All of this information will be available to parents and anyone who registers as a 'fan' of the team and can be accessed on an iPhone, any smart phone (Blackberry, Droid, etc.) or any computer.

Best of all, the scorekeeping app is free of charge and the basic information is also free.  GameChanger charges a fee for fans to buy the app that provides complete player and game stats and added features.
